About Jamie

Jamie Hempsall is a member of the British Institute of Interior Design and the Interiors columnist for the Yorkshire Post. Since starting his Nottinghamshire Design Consultancy in 1994 he has established a reputation for innovation, quality, practicality and cost effective design: interpreting and understanding his Clients' interior design needs and ensuring they receive his personal attention at all stages.

As the majority of Jamie Hempsall's interior design projects originate from recommendation and referral, it is important that the final product not only meets the Client brief visually, but that it also works practically. Jamie’s philosophy is that a house is not primarily a show piece; it should be a home to be lived in and needs to cope with the rigors of family life, but still look great at the end of the day.

Jamie Hempsall also has a wealth of commercial operations experience, so similarly understands how to deliver restaurant or office interior design that is stylish, cost efficient & effective for staff and clients to use.

Jamie undertakes domestic and commercial interior design projects of all sizes throughout the UK: anything from a pair of drapes and a colour scheme, to redeveloping a room incorporating existing furnishings or the complete re-development of a home, restaurant or office.

Jamie Hempsall is happy to work with your own appointed team. He also has an extensive network of quality interior professionals and craftspeople whose skills he can vouch for having worked with them on many projects over the years.

In recent years, Jamie has expanded his business to ensure he can cost effectively satisfy your every interior design requirement from top to bottom including flooring, bespoke cabinetry, antique and modern furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, hand-finished drapes, soft furnishings and upholstery. Jamie Hempsall Interior Design are also delighted to offer antique chandeliers, reconditioned and dressed as required in addition to a wonderful range of modern lighting suppliers chosen for their innovation and quality.
