Guest Room - Dramatic - Award Winning

This guest room was requested by a client who wanted to create a smart, boutique hotel feel for their guests.

Our design is reminiscent of a small stateroom on an art deco liner with use of light and dark shagreen and faux leather on furniture to soften the feel of the room.

We ensured that the room felt naturally warm by using comfortable fabrics and tactile dark-cork for the wall covering.

A large overhead light assisted with poor natural light in the room, which was coupled with overhead reading lights built into the headboard to avoided cluttering the bedside tables.

The winged design on the bespoke headboards aim to maximise the privacy of the individual and ease comfort if only one occupant was reading.

The bank of cupboards provided masses of storage space for those staying longer than a weekend.
