Sitting Room - Makeover
We were called in to help our client creat a feeling of space and comfort in the sitting room of their modern home. The room was long and thing with a low ceiling and suffered from privacy & light issues.
We started by replacing magnolia walls with a pale, but warm colour incorporating subtle pink undertones to add depth to the room. Light and privacy were solved with stunning strings that block light and the view in, but allow occupants to look out - the overall effect is sultry and funky, which the client loved.
A sandy coloured, textured carpet was introduced to mirror the seaside location of the property and add warm comfort underfoot.
Three tier eyelet curtains added a terrific splash of colour, helped increase the feeling of height in the room and completed the window dressing.
A comfortable bespoke sofa in raspberry, with plenty of cushions to match the drapes, allowed plenty of space for lounging. Whilst a refurbished Victorian love seat was upholstered in Moss Green velvet with deep buttoning in contrasting raspberry provided the ideal location to watch TV, chat or read.
Modern occasional pieces by key craftsmen compliment antique family pieces in an eclectic look.
Finally, we advised our client on the best layout for their beautiful artwork collection to ensure optimum display and an enhanced feeling of space.
