Pop Art Inspired Staff Restaurant
This 200 seat staff restaurant was created for the new offices of a dynamic IT company. The requirement was to create a multi-purpose environment which would appeal to a broad spectrum of IT literate staff. The space was to be used for staff dining & relaxation areas, along with the opportunity to hold informal meetings and host private clients. The feel needed to be fresh & vibrant.
Acoustics were a particular concern and the combination of an Ecophon Ceiling and Karndean Flooring helped ensure that noise was dampened even when the space is operating at peak.
We took the theme from a Modern Art Gallery exhibiting Pop Art works (which appear throughout the design), using the hits of brightness to incorporate colours that would invigorate key thinkers. The cloud lighting is a play both on ideas and cloud based computing. Surfaces & furniture were all chosen for ease of maintenance.
Specialist Programers helped create the code for the coffee bar logo and also the binary along the IT Bar, which holds a secret joke for all binary enthusiasts. The Bar provides wireless and wired charging for phones & tablets.
Silent Gliss blinds have been used to provide innovative window treatments, which have been designed to ensure ultimate privacy for evening functions. In addition, sound dampening wave curtains have been incorporated which can be drawn to create a private dining facility when required.
